I would like to invite all schools in Knowsley, Liverpool, St Helen’s, Wigan and Sefton to take part in the Primary Teaching for Mastery Programme for 2020-21.
This is the opportunity for ALL schools, wherever you are on your Teaching for Mastery Journey, to join one of the National Programmes. All programmes are FREE of Charge.
All programmes include high quality professional development based on national and international research.
Schools have the option to join either the Mastery Readiness or Teaching for Mastery Development Programmeplease see application forms attached for more information.
Once schools start their 4 year journey (see below) the school will just progress onto the next stage.
In the 1st Year- Mastery Readiness Year you will identify a key teacher and the Maths Lead to attend 3 face to face sessions. This also includes schools visits from the Work Group Lead- Claire Martin who will work with you and your staff on a bespoke programme of implementation.
In year 2 you will receive a TFM specialist attached to your school. You will move to this stage once completing the Mastery Readiness year.
In year 3 you will continue onto the Embedding stage and finally Year 4 the Sustaining stage. Both stages involves a TFM specialist attached to your school.
Once accepted onto the programme, you and your key teachers will be invited to a launch. This will take place in the autumn term. We will give you key dates and explain the programme in more depth at this briefing.

Once your school has decided which programme you would like to join please complete the application form attached and return it to NW3 Maths Hub by Friday 17th July 2020.
