NW3 Maths Hub would like to invite all Primary Teaching Assistants working in primary schools in: Knowsley, St Helens, Wigan, Liverpool and Sefton the chance to attend a FREE Work Group
SKTM for Primary Teaching Assistants- NCP21-27
This project is designed to support primary teaching assistants in developing specialist knowledge for teaching mathematics
What is involved?
The programme will focus on the following mathematical areas:
- What is effective in the learning and teaching of mathematics?
- Number sense
- Additive reasoning
- Multiplicative reasoning
This programme will take place across the equivalent of 3 days. Further details to follow once your place has been confirmed.
What are the benefits?
- review their practice as a result of the sessions and make specific adaptations to support the pupils they are working with
- understand the key elements that form number sense, forms of addition and subtraction, forms of multiplication and division, including precise language, structures
The Work Group is FREE of Charge.
It is intended that two participants will attend from each school.
Target Audience: Teaching assistants from KS1 and KS2.
